Spring 2025 – Special Term!

This term, we’ll take a unique approach! We’ll work on a centre routine featuring key ballet elements—adage, tendu combinations, across-the-floor exercises, and jumps—along with a short variation from the classical ballet repertoire. Much like a ballet exam, these recurring exercises will also provide a foundation for our first-ever

Marel is an amazing teacher! She has so much knowledge, and a profound desire to share that knowledge with her students. She’s incredibly generous with her time, patient, attentive and kind. I have learned so much from her and hope I can continue doing so as long as she plans to teach. Adult ballet students in Halifax are incredibly fortunate to have such a gifted and dedicated instructor.

Incredible experience for progressive ballet. Maria focuses on each of her students and makes corrections. For adult learners, it is important to build strength and develop good muscle memory. She focuses on building technique as well as the artistry of ballet. When you watch her demonstrate a combination, you can feel her artistry, and you'll begin to build artistry within yourself. Her class is always inspiring and so much fun; you'll feel joy while improving your work. I highly recommend training in ballet with Maria after trying three other ballet schools in Halifax.
