Atlantic Flamenco – The School
Flamenco programs are offered through Atlantic Flamenco, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of flamenco in Atlantic Canada.
Through classes, performances, workshops, and cultural initiatives, Atlantic Flamenco provides opportunities for students and audiences to engage with this powerful and expressive art form while helping ensure its continued growth and sustainability in our region.
Maria Osende: Celebrated Dancer, Inspiring Teacher
Maria Osende is a dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur, and educator whose career spans continents, blending the elegant beauty of ballet with the raw passion and artistry of flamenco.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Maria brings her Spanish heritage and international experience to her teaching, performances, and cultural initiatives. As the founder and Artistic Director of Atlantic Flamenco, she has dedicated her career to creating opportunities for people to experience dance as a source of expression, connection, and personal growth.
Through her work as a performer, teacher, and cultural leader, Maria continues to inspire students and audiences while helping build a lasting future for flamenco and dance in Atlantic Canada.
